The Smails, our British guests from Olney, arrived Friday afternoon. We dropped by Collins Diamond Jewelers to pick up the tray and tiara for the race winner.

Olney Mayor John Smail, second from right, and his wife, Peggy, second from left, admire the engraved silver tray that will be presented to the winner of Liberal's 60th International Pancake Day Race Tuesday. Audie Bartel, center, holds the tray as his son, Colton Bartel, far left, and wife, Karla Bartel, far right, look on. Olney's winner will receive an identical engraved tray as a gift from Liberal.
