Pancake Day Parade set for Feb. 5; Cash prizes offered in five divisions

This year’s Pancake Day parade, sponsored each year by the Liberal Rotary Club, is set for Tuesday February 5, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. “Any group or organization can enter a float, and we have several entries already.

Our theme this year is "Pancake Proud for 59 Years".

Area residents are invited to enter floats in the following divisions: commercial, non-profit, schools, antique automobiles, and antique equipment. Cash prizes of $150 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place will be awarded in each division.

Entry forms may be obtained at the Tourist Information Center, from Rhonda Crawford, Parade Chairman, or on the Pancake Day web site.
